LINDEN -- Raymond B. Martin, 76, lifetime resident of Linden, died at 7 p.m. Monday at his home. He had been ill for some time. Martin was a retired farmer. He was born Jan. 15, 1886. His parents were Levi and Mellie Bennett Martin. He married Lala Adele Wilkins on Oct. 9, 1907. Martin was a member of the Linden Methodist Church. Survivors include the widow; a son, Ross A. Martin of Linden; a sister, Mrs. Clara Morrison of Evanston, Ill.; two granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Helms Funeral Chapel in Linden. Rev. Willis Syphers of the Linden Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
